Love O Love…I’m certain we all as humans crave love,crave receiving it and more times strive giving it out and well,we all got different definitions of it and perception and expectation of it.Some perceive it in form of how much you give it,others in form of how much you present,others in form of gifts and just so much more,others just a combination of all the little things.

So,what’s love really?I personally love to perceive it as per 1 Corinthians 13.Yeah biblical definition of it all I know,I choose this over all else because for certain this is exactly what love is and not what we paint it to be.How we paint it makes it hurt,jealous,describes it as some prison but in all honesty love should be sweet and full of all goodness.

So,how is it described in 1Corinthians 13?Well,Love is patient and kind;it is not conceited or jealous or proud;love is not ill mannered or selfish or irritable;love does not keep a record of wrongs;love is not happy with evil,but is happy with the truth.Love never gives up;and its faith,hope and patience never fail.Love is eternal.

How have you then painted love as,in your head?Does it conform with that?Is your expectation of love patient?is it kind?How often do you forgive wrongs?Is it eternal or do you just give it for the sake of it and just for a short while the you retrieve it?Do you freely give it or do you give it out with expectation of getting something in return?…You the only person that could answer this and you the only one that now knows the reason why it hurts each time for you.

There are very many forms of love;Eros,Philia and Agape.Eros is romantic kind,Philia is brotherly love and Agape is unconditional kind.Eros is what fucks up most people and often times than not we the ones that actually let it because of our expectations.Brotherly love and Agape love we often times give it freely.So,if we would perceive Eros the way we perceive the other two then we would most probably be far much better and stronger built than we actually are.

We cannot also just blame it on the people we meet.Sometimes our perception of what it should be sprouts from where we come from;how we were brought up,the people we interacted with and so much more.

Let’s take alittle step back and re-evaluate our perception of love and give it out more with no expectations of reception because the more you give is the more you receive.Just give out,when it starts flowing your way you will be surprised by the much love filled you will be.
